Centomiglia

La Centomiglia is a famous sailing regatta that takes place every year on Lake Garda. It is famous as being the longest regatta in Europe on inland waters. With the 60th edition, achieved in 2010, it won the title of the longest sailing race in Italy.

The name recalls that of the Mille Miglia, a renowned motor race. The route varies depending on the type and length of the boats.

The monohulls traditionally depart from the small port of Bogliaco to go up the lake to Torbole, travel south to Desenzano and finally return to Bogliaco.
